One of the advantages over standard salt application is that the material dries on the pavement and stays in place. Because of that, salt brine can be applied prior to a snow or ice event. Salt brine is also effective against black ice and can be used on bridge overpass’s and on/off ramps. To begin using salt brine you must have some type of generator, storage capability and a means to apply the salt brine.
